Megan, the owner of Align,
started her career from her passion of wanting to help others move well in their body.
She began her journey as an undergrad at Western Washington University, studying human movement to receive a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology. During her first year at school, Megan began teaching yoga classes to teachers and students within the university’s campus, and continued to teach within the community ten years following. With the initial experience of teaching others how to connect with their body, breath, and mind, she started to become more interested in receiving an education that would allow her to effectively help others move pain-free during her classes. Once she graduated from Western, Megan started her business in 2016 as a private trainer, mobility coach, and yoga instructor while deciding the path she wanted to take in regards to returning back to school.
During this time, she had multiple injuries that were not improving from traditional therapies, which led her to a Structural Medicine Practitioner in the area. After a few sessions working with the practitioner, she fell in love with the multi-faceted approach to Structural Medicine and felt that this method encompassed what she was looking for to advance her education.
Attending the Institute of Structural Medicine was one of the most difficult, yet rewarding experiences for her as an individual and as a practitioner. She graduated her program after four years of education in July of 2023 (whoo hoo!!) and feels extremely fortunate to share the amazing benefits of this therapy to her community.
She currently practices inside Evergreen Strength Training where she gets to be a part of a community of fun, caring individuals. Megan enjoys spending time with her loved ones, exercising & practicing yoga, cooking, snowboarding, and many many other things!
